After two years of close cooperation, China Ryukyu and Shanghai Wuzheng Qiangqiang have jointly completed the pre-consultation, planning and partial design work of several sets of syngas-to-glycol products.

At the meeting, Wang Baoming, the chief engineer of Wuzheng Company, first introduced the large-scale ethylene glycol synthesis technology (STEG-II) of the second generation of synthesis gas from Wuzheng: “Wu is in the first generation of syngas ethylene glycol technology (STEG-I) On the basis of the successful commercialization of the 50,000-ton ethylene glycol plant in Shandong Hualu, in 2014, the second-generation synthetic gas ethylene glycol large-scale technology was successfully developed in 2014 – the scale of single-line and single-series reactors. It can achieve 400,000 tons/year. Compared with the first generation of syngas to ethylene glycol technology, the investment in the plant area is reduced by 30-50%, the comprehensive energy consumption is reduced by about 30%, and the material consumption is reduced by about 5%. The specific embodiment of the second-generation technology advantage is: the cost of the first-generation technology ton of ethylene glycol products drops by about 1,000 yuan.'

Vice President Zhang fully affirmed the contribution made by Shanghai Wu in technological innovation, especially the confidence and expectation of the successful application of the high-temperature carbonylation process of ethylene glycol in the second generation of ethylene glycol technology. .
