On July 5, 2019, Li Hongbin, Chairman of China Pingmei Shenma Group Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. and Xue Ji, Vice Chairman of Pingmei Shenma Chemical Co., Ltd. visited our company with experts from 600,000 tons of ethylene glycol project from Russia to discuss the future cooperation mode. At the meeting, China Pingmei Shenma Group Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd.and Shanghai Wuzheng discussed the technology of producing ethylene glycol by medium and high pressure carbonylation process, and exchanged in detail. The technology can reduce the total investment of building a 400,000 tons/year project of producing ethylene glycol from coal by about 1 billion yuan, greatly reduce the energy consumption of the plant in the future, and greatly reduce the coal consumption and pollution emissions. The cost is more than 1000 yuan lower than that of low-voltage technology.

On the afternoon of May 5, Shenma Far East Chemical Group and Shanghai Wuzheng visited the Wuzheng R&D Center in Minhang District. Xu Changqing, deputy director of the R&D Center, introduced the situation of the R&D Center, highlighted the second generation of high-pressure carbonylation process for ethylene glycol production, visited the pilot-scale catalyst preparation device, plate reactor, and urged. Chemicals micro-reactor evaluation device, catalyst pilot test evaluation device, distillation device, PLC control system, instrument analysis room, chemical laboratory, etc. During the visit, the whole process of high pressure carbonylation was running steadily on the pilot plant. The indexes of temperature, pressure and flow rate were all normal. Director Li Yujiang introduced the pilot test process and operation of STEG-II in detail, and answered relevant questions.
