Phase I 600,000 tons/year methanol production plant technical transformation project 300,000 tons/year medium and high pressure carbonylation process ethylene glycol plant process technology package”. After careful consideration of the process package, the participants agreed that the contents of the “300,000 tons/year medium and high pressure carbonylation process ethylene glycol plant process technology package” prepared by Shanghai Wuzheng Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. deeply meet the requirements of China Petrochemical Corporation. The SPMP-STD-EM2001 requirements of the 'Petrochemical Plant Process Design Package (Complete Technology Process Package) Content Regulations) can be used to carry out the next engineering design work. And believe that the technology package is advanced in technology, low in material consumption and energy consumption, and the successful implementation of the project is of great significance to the development of ethylene glycol in China.

Shaanxi Huabin Zhengkai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was jointly funded by Shaanxi Coal Chemical Energy Co., Ltd., Shanghai Wuzheng Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. and Kaifeng dongjing Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Relying on the technical transformation of the first phase 600,000 tons/year methanol production plant of Shaanxi Coal Chemical Energy Co., Ltd., it will produce 300,000 tons/year of ethylene glycol. The technical transformation project was filed on October 31, 2017. On July 7, 2018, Shanghai U-Jing Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., China Ryukyu Engineering Co., Ltd. Beijing Branch, Sinochem Erjian Group Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Huabin Zhengkai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. signed a joint general contract. The project is scheduled to go into production by the end of 2019.

With the advancement of the project, the engineering process of ethylene glycol technology in the synthesis gas high pressure carbonylation process is also accelerating. According to the calculation of China's Ryukyu, the cost of ethylene glycol tons produced by this technical transformation is only about 1,000 yuan higher than the cost of methanol produced by the original device, that is, the cost of ethylene glycol is about 2,600 yuan / ton.
