Neopentyl glycol (NPG) is widely applied in many fields, such as powder coatings, resins, polyurethane foams, plasticizers, surfactants, insulating materials, etc.

Sodium formate process is a simple and traditional technology for neopentyl glycol in China, which consumes a lot of formaldehyde and produces a large amount of wastewater. So the sodium formate process will be replaced by advanced condensation-hydrogenation process, which reduce consumption of formaldehyde and produces a small amount of wastewater. We also developed an advanced condensation -hydrogenation process of formaldehyde isobutyraldehyde to produce neopentyl glycol.
